Silicon Nitride (Si3N4)
Description
Reviews
Silicon Nitride (Si3N4) ceramics is a kind of engineering ceramic material, which has excellent mechanical properties, thermal properties and chemical stability, high strength at high temperature and room temperature, high hardness, high abrasive resistance, oxidation resistance and good thermal shock and mechanical shock-resistance. Therefore, Silicon Nitride can take the place of Nickel Base Alloy, and can be widely used in High Temperature and Hi-Tech fields. Most of materials’ friction coefficient increase distinctly when the temperature gets higher or abrasion occurs. Nevertheless, Si3N4 ceramics has a small friction coefficient, even if under high temperature and high speed.
